FAQ’s

What is CBD?
Bella Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of approximately 113 cannabinoids identified in cannabis and industrial hemp plants. A phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940, CBD accounts for up to 40% of the plant’s raw material. As of 2021, there are several organizations leading clinical research trials for the use of cannabidiol to treat anxiety, cognition, movement disorders, inflammation, skin cancer, anti-aging, stress, and pain.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has researched CBD extensively and stated that it is safe for use. CBD is beloved by consumers for its natural wellness benefits without the psychoactive effect that THC contains. All of Bella’s products are manufactured with CBD extracted from highly regulated, legally grown American industrial hemp. Bella products are completely safe to use without risking any feeling of being “high” or failing a THC drug test.

Will Bella products get me high?
Absolutely not. Our products will not leave you feeling “high” because they are made with zero THC CBD isolate that is tested by a third party owned, ISO certified laboratory before they are ever used in the manufacturing process. All of our products are American made in industry leading facilities under the guidance of physicians, clinicians, and research scientists who ensure each product exceeds our lofty safety standards. As a mother founded company we take the safety of you and your family very seriously.

Do you offer tinctures or pills?
Not at this time due to the FDA’s guidance specific to CBD infused consumable products. The FDA states clearly that these products are currently illegal. We hope to be able to offer CBD infused consumable products the moment they are no longer illegal. Here is a link to the FDA guidance.

What is hemp derived CBD?
Hemp-derived CBD products are made from agricultural hemp. Agricultural hemp and medical marijuana both come from the Cannabis Sativa L. plant, but they are not the same. Agricultural hemp, which is often referred to as “hemp stalk,” grows differently than THC-containing cannabis, and looks similar to bamboo. Products made with hemp-derived CBD have been reported to provide health benefits, without causing psychoactive effects.

Is CBD Legal? What does the 2018 Farm Bill Mean?

On December 20, 2018, The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 became law as part of the 2018 United States Farm Bill. This law removed hemp from the Schedule I controlled substances list and made it an ordinary agricultural commodity. The 2018 Farm Bill gives Americans in all 50 states access to industrial hemp extracted CBD as a natural solution to a wide variety of ailments, and as yet another tool to help achieve optimal wellness.

With the passing of this bill, more testing and research will be performed to explore the multiple benefits of CBD. We will be able to more freely explore the opportunities for growing industrial hemp for food, raising it for textiles and including it in a myriad of products and supplements.
